When this cartoon is drawn, electric cable cutting and stealing incident live very rampant. This is due to high demand on metal material by foreign countries. When scrap metal already finished, these opportunist go for the live cable which caused a lot of electrical supply disruption. In their theft attempt, no less that killed by electric shock.

PEMBURU DULU-DULUAN

This cartoon drawn as a rememberance of all the stories that is often told by my grandfather when he was still alive. He died when his age is exactly 100 years. I'm never bored of hearing his story despite repeated over and over again. He was so proud every time he's telling it.
I miss those time a lot!

At that time, the 'Datuk' title is easily available. Same goes to the title of 'Dr’ (PhD). As long as we have enough money to ‘buy’ it, we will get it! Dignity of these titles decline sharply which unintentionally trigger this cartoon idea. Just to tickle the minds and feelings at the time of such tension.

SUICIDE BOMBER

Suicide Bomber activity at that time is a daily topic in local newspapers and even overseas. A burning issue frequently debated at the time. What are the factors that cause individuals willing to sacrifice themselves to kill others? Fish bombing activities is seldom known in our waters. Want a quick profit, the culprit turn to the use of homemade bombs. Huge impact on the health of our environment, but less attention! Do not be surprised if one day, the fish will be a Suicide Bomber!

ELECTRONIC GOVERNMENT

 

In an office, there’s a few officer that record their finger to the Finger Print Time Recorder early in the morning and then went out. Never to be seen the whole day. In the evening when about the time to go back, they suddenly emerge and record their finger. He/she do their finger recording time punctually. But in the actual fact is they are not in the office the whole day. Doing some 'side income' outside. It didn’t happen once in a while but every day, month and in fact for years. But because of the accuracy of finger recording time, he/she get off easily.

To what extent can be done by an amateur cartoonist 14 years ago? However, during that time, there's a lot of exciting and delighting moments. The issue here is regarding blackouts that always happen in Kota Kinabalu town. Show how important electricity is to humanity. Many unimaginable possibilities could happen with this problem.
